"With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come!"

After searching high and low, I found the perfect quote from William Shakespeare as inspiration for our blog: "With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come!"
This quote is contained in the play Merchant of Venice, spoken by the jester Gratiano. The character is reminding us that life goes on; the decades will pass and we will age as time marches forward. Therefore, our choice is to either enjoy the life set before us or to waste our days lamenting and worrying. To me, this quote is a reminder to look on the bright side.

Steve and I have been through plenty of ups and downs in 2008. With the economy tight and our days packed with one "to-do" task after another, it's easy to slip into "If only we had..." or "Why can't we do XXXX instead?" Our vow is to find the mirth and laughter in each day so that when our wrinkles come, we will have left a lifetime of happy moments behind us!
