The past few weeks have been pretty busy! Alina keeps forgetting to bring the camera along but we have had some fun times. John, Myra and their son Jack visited from California (need to get some photos from John!) We attended Reagan's first birthday party at Leona's in Oak Park (yum, pizza and salad!)
This weekend, Leah and Kris will be visiting from California. We are THRILLED they are coming and look forward to spending tons of fun time together during the three days of the visit.
Meanwhile, Elliott has been working on his potty training. We're at a plateau right now where he will happily go in the potty but doesn't bring it up as often as he could. He's still working on being able to take off and put on his own pants and pull-up. Once he has mastered the art of managing his own clothing, we think using the potty will become a piece of cake. Maybe this will be our last box of diapers for him (one can only hope!)
Rosemary has been talking more and more. She is starting to repeat words. She also threw her first little two-year-old-like tantrum. It was so cute to hear that ANGRY cry! Of course it won't be cute later on but hearing her exert her own will was cute to see. We remember Elliott entering this phase, eventually progressing to full-body-throw-to-the-floor-screaming... and then just when you think it can't get worse, the intensity diminishes.
People at work still ask Alina "how's your baby?" and "weren't you recently pregnant?" Well, not that recent -- Rosemary is almost 18 months old. Time does fly.
