Visit from Nana

A couple of weekends ago Nana came to visit for a 2-night stay. Steve had to work pretty much all weekend so this was a great time for Nana to be in town to play with Elliott and Rosemary.

We went to a local choo-choo diner. Burgers, fries, hot dogs, ice cream are served by a train that runs around a u-shaped counter top. The place was mobbed with young kids on a Saturday. Couldn't really get any good photos! Elliott and Rosemary both adore the place. "The Choo Choo Place" Elliott calls it.

The kids spent hours doing puzzles, reading books, playing with dolls, cars, tents, blocks, tools, fake food, coloring, stickers, balls, dinosaurs, train tracks... it was cold so we stayed close to home.

We also 'celebrated' Rosemary's birthday with cupcakes. A little early but why not since Nana was here?

Here's Elliott feeling grumpy because it wasn't his birthday.

Daddy and Rosemary! Rosemary blew out the candles so quickly we all missed it. She loves to blow out candles.

Watching out the window, the kids were sad to see Nana's taxi take her to the airport. Elliott even shed a few tears. Nana shed more than a few, we are sure!
