"Veggies Give Me Powers Like a Super Hero"

This year, we joined a local organic vegetable CSA program. CSA = Community Supported Agriculture. Every other week, we pick up a share of fresh, organically-grown vegetables from a local farm.

This past week, the share included a colorful array of tomatoes, eggplant, beets, etc.. which Elliott and Rosemary loved to wash in the sink.




Our kids have on days and off days eating veggies. We have noticed they especially love raw veggies, which are easier to prepare anyway!



It's hard to say if songs like Choo Choo Soul's help our kids eat more veggies or not, but we all like to sing along.



Steve grew up eating home-grown veggies from his family's huge garden so he has been reliving memories of collecting and preparing veggies. Luckily, our farm provides many receipes to help us cook unusual items such as Chinese Greens, Kohlrabi and Fennel.
