Three Kids in the New Year

Elliott rarely wants to hold or touch Gretchen. That's why this picture is priceless! Taken in mid-December, Rosemary had just finished holding Gretchen and playing with her. Suddenly Elliott said "I want to hold Gretchen". Alina handed him the baby and grabbed the camera!

We've been trying to keep Elliott involved with Gretchen. Here is a good example... Alina set Gretchen on her back in the middle of Elliott's bed. There is a very slim chance she will move since she does not roll over yet. Alina asked Elliott "keep an eye on her! don't let her fall" then she turned to put clothes away in the closet.

After turning back around, Elliott was laying horizontally, between Gretchen and the edge of the bed. "Mom, I am laying right here to keep Gretchen from falling". Very sweet, Elliott!
