Fancy Photos of the Family

On November 7th, Alina's workplace hosted a Holiday Portrait Event. A professional photographer snapped photos and provided copies on a jump drive for a small fee. The idea is to take the photos to OfficeMax and have holiday calendars, cards or other items made.
We decided to dress up in fancy clothes and try for a formal family photo. Alina's coworker lent a cute mini-tuxedo for Elliott so we all dressed to match. (We resized all of these photos in order to fit on the web so if you would like a high-resolution copy to make prints, email Steve or Alina.)
Above, the kids look like they are headed to the prom! I love the way they are holding hands.
The photo below is Alina's favorite pose.... unfortunately the children were completely distracted and then ran away before we could get a good smile. Ha ha.

Alina with the kids.....

Steve with the kids.... this is probably our best shot from the entire shoot. That's because Alina was standing behind the photographer doing crazy stuff to make the kids smile. Lesson Learned: bring your craziest friend with you to stand behind the photographer next time we try for family portraits!

Here's a smiling Elliott below, following by a solo shot of Rosemary.

We tried for a few holiday-themed photos by using wrapped boxes. The lids were removable and the kids quickly determined there were no gifts inside. Ha ha.

We'll probably include one of the following group shots in our holidays cards. (This is where it would have been nice to have that crazy friend behind the photographer, doing something really nutty!)
