Lately, one of Rosemary's favorite activities is playing with any type of box, bin, basket or large container she can fit inside. Here she is sitting in a plastic bin in front of the Christmas tree at Nana's house in Ohio. After we returned from the trip, both Rosemary and Elliott had a blast crouching inside the two empty suitcases, giggling while we tried to "find" them... then then popping out with excitement after being "found"! Rosemary + laundry basket = at least 30 min of enjoyment. Sometimes her little feet stick out from under the basket but she just giggles away, thinking no one can see her.
One of Rosemary's many nicknames is "Princess!" As in... "Where's my princess?" or "How's my little princess?"

Now she has her own butterfly/princess costume! She will happily twirl around to show you the back...

And then strike a runway pose!

Since people exclaim with delight when Rosemary wears pretty dresses Elliott sometimes asks "Where's my dress?" or "When can I wear a dress?" or, the most adamant "I want a dress!" Who can blame him? Girl clothes are decidedly more cute.

These photos were all taken in Ohio during our trip at the end of December.
This weekend, Steve had to work both Saturday and Sunday. The weather was miserably frigid. We did make it over to the local Japanese steakhouse for our first-ever family hibachi night. Both the kids enjoyed the chef's tricks. However, we're going through a phase lately that Rosemary does not want to sit in her high chair longer than, oh, say about 5 minutes. We ended up passing her back and forth quite a bit. Brings back the good ole days when she was nursing newborn. Hopefully she'll get back on the "sit at the table" bandwagon soon.
