Steve and the kids surprised Alina with flowers and cards on the morning of Mother's Day!
We shared a yummy breakfast of pancakes (shaped like sheep, cows and pigs for the kids) and bacon. Later, after dinner, we celebrated with delicious vegan cupcakes from Whole Foods. It's always nice to share a little treat with the kids on special occasions.
Here's Gretchen in the high chair, just before we started breakfast.
Rosemary is her usual charming self! Folks are beginning to say she looks like Alina.

Sometimes Elliott pulls out a fake smile for the camera but this one is half-real!

Mother's Day weekend proved to be our first nice and sunny weekend of year so we spent the majority of the day outside. Spring = the beginning of yardwork for us. Gretchen takes two nice naps per day so we were able to pick up sticks in the yard, weed out dandelions and mow the grass.
Elliott also spent time practicing with his pedal bike (see movie like on left-hand side of the blog) and Rosemary introduced Gretchen to the joys of riding in the wagon.
We dug out the sunscreen and hats for the kids to be used during the week with our nanny. Lots of fun outside time in store for this kids this year as we kick off their first summer without being in daycare.
