This is Alina's childhood piano, now sitting in our front room. We called a piano tuner in Naperville to find out if it is worth moving a piano that is 25+ years old or if it's better to simply move on to a new model... he explained that it depends on the brand. He advised us to retrieve the piano via minivan.Steve likes to drive long distances so he seemed happy to set out before dawn on Saturday to pick up the piano. He returned by 9:30pm later that same night.
When Alina explained Steve's mission to the kids, Elliott asked "So, Daddy is driving in a circle?" Yes, Elliott - Daddy is driving in a really-big-12-hour-circle-from-here-to-Nana's-house-and-back-again!!!

You won't regret it!!! We wound up with the piano I learned on, courtesy of my parents, and yes, the tuning was a bit spendy and really didn't help things much, but the girls will learn on it and it's just fine. They already love banging on it. Enjoy!!
