Our sweet baby girl Gretchen turned 1 on September 25th! We were fortunate enough to be in Ohio for Emily's wedding a couple of weeks before her birthday so we had two celebrations: one in Ohio and one at home.

Gretchen wore a cute party dress to unwrap her gifts.
She couldn't help stopping to play with the toys as she unwrapped them. Her audience including Shannon, Tom, Emily, Brent, Uncle Joel, Aunt Lynne, Dale and Nana were all happy to assist!

For Gretchen's celebration at home, we baked her a cake with her name on it.

Rosemary and Elliott loved watching Gretchen unwrap each brightly colored gift.
The wrapping paper itself was arguably her favorite gift!
After presents, we donned party hats and sang Happy Birthday. Steve made gluten-free and dairy-free cake balls to go along with the cake.
"Yum, I like cake!" As the 3rd child, this was not Gretchen's first time enjoying a sugary treat. She loved digging in to the yummy cake and sweet frosting.
