Out of the Mouths of Babes

Setting - Alina is expouding on the benefits of some vitamin or another while Steve and the kids are sitting at the table.

Rosemary (to Steve) - What is she talking about?
Steve - I am not sure.
Rosemary - I have no idea what she is saying.  All I hear is "blah, blah, blah".

Time to cut Calvin & Hobbes out of the bedtime story routine...

Setting - Elliot is taking a shower.  His own shampoo appears to be AWOL for some reason.

Steve - Here, Elliott, just use some of my shampoo.
Elliott - I don't want to use your shampoo.
Steve - Why not?
Elliott - You don't have any hair.
Steve - What?
Elliott - I don't want MY hair to fall out.
Steve - The shampoo did NOT make my hair fall out.
Elliott - I don't care what you say.  I am NOT using that shampoo.

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck...must be a duck...

Setting - Elliott and Rosemary are in a fight about something (pick a topic).  Elliott gets VERY upset.
Gretchen walks across the room, pulls his favorite blanket (we are very much in Linus territory here) from under a bean bag chair, and brings it to him.

Gretchen - "here go, Eyyet" (my emphasis on the pronunciation...)
She then gives him a hug.. All of this unprompted.  Cute, huh?
