First Fall Outing

We had some amazing Fall days this year, with sunshine and warmth. Here we are in October, walking around the small (almost-free) zoo with our friends.  Alina was working from home and able to finish everything early, just in time for an afternoon outing.
The kids tore through the zoo, looking at the llamas, goats, sheep, chickens, bunnies, deer. Elliott wanted Alina to time him with the stopwatch app on her phone as he raced and raced around the duck pond (best time: 59 seconds).

Here's our two youngest of the group!
Here's the whole crew. The kids jumped, rolled, and slid all over this haystack. Who knew haystacks could be so much fun? Luckily, no one broke out in hives. Elliott has a tendency to break out in hives when he rubs around in outdoor plants and trees.
We tried for some artistic shots in the pumpkin pile.  September and October are fun months for our family, starting with Gretchen's birthday, Elliott's birthday, then Halloween.

Part of the joy of these outings is buckling 5 kids in 5 car seats in the van, with two Moms up front. So glad we have such great friends and places to go which are practically free.  Oh, the memories!
