Typical Weekend

September weekends are like many others this summer and fall at our house. Yardwork, garden work, housework, and relaxing.  Most weekends start off with a snuggle on the couch. Love this photo of all the kids with their blankies.

10am on a Saturday, you can often find Steve in the kitchen, brewing up something delicious for lunch or dinner. 2pm on a Saturday, you can often find Alina busy in the yard, either planting something, removing weeds, or pruning flowers and shrubs. Elliott took this photo below along with many others around the yard.

There's something about Elliott's eye for pictures that we just adore. Alina digging in the yard, framed by the patio table and the garden.

Today, Alina and Steve pulled back the sod along the fence, planting 50+ tulip bulbs. Rosemary lined up all the bulbs and helped with every step of the project. Can't wait to see the pretty color along the fence next Spring!

Steve and Alina worked hard. The sun, the dirt, the grass, and the warms are the best therapy after a long week at work.

Rosemary is our #1 assistant. She has the most focus and interest of all the kids in our household projects. She's also the most organized of our kids, making sure her bed and blankets are straight. She likes to set the table and will gladly organize the cabinet of pots and pans or tupperware.
