Hop, Hop, the Bunny is Coming

We started off Easter enjoying festivities at our church. The kids tried a few small crafts, took photos with the Easter Bunny and ran all over the lawn picking up brightly colored eggs.

Elliott's reading skills blossomed in the last month.... he spent the first part of craft time with his nose in a book. Another reader, following in the footsteps of Mom and Dad!

All of us posing with the bunny. No screams of fear this year! It seemed like just yesterday Rosemary would shriek at the sight of a costumed figure. We'll never forget sitting at a Chuck-E-Cheese birthday party, when the Mouse appears from a closed door... Steve and Alina glance at each other, each somewhat far from Rosemary's chair at the party table.  Rosemary stands up and leaps out of her chair toward Steve, flying through the air to avoid the scary mouse. Now, here she is: posing with a smile.

We thought Elliott was settling in to color and egg with pastels but turns out he was writing a message. Couldn't stop laughing over that one.
Our neighbor joined us. Yes, this is the best group picture of the kids.

Gretchen methodically collected eggs for her bag. The littlest kids went out of the lawn first while all the bigger kids waited inside with snacks.

Rosemary and Elliott tore all over the huge lawn.  The church volunteers must have laid at 2,000 eggs on the grass. It was egg paradise!

After finishing with the egg hunt, we all walked through a artistic display of the stations of the cross, the perfect calm ending of our Easter outing.
