Rosemary's 5th Birthday

Our sweet Rosemary turns 5 this year. She is now officially a 'young lady'! On her actual birthday, we celebrated with treats and birthday signing on her actual birthday. Then, we have a party coming up in May in our backyard with our neighbours. This year's theme is My Little Pony.

Steve baked a homemade gluten-free and dairy-free cake. Double-decker! Rosemary wanted pink sprinkles and pink icing.

Gretchen can't wait until it is her birthday!

Rosemary thoughtfully placed ponies on her cake, amidst the sprinkles and candles. Decorating their own cake is becoming a family tradition for our kids.

Ta-da! The finished cake.

During gift opening, Steve read all the cards to Rosemary while Gretchen helped organize the gifts and Elliott took a turn as cameraman.

The kids are getting better about patiently watching the gift-unwrapping when it's not YOUR birthday! Rosemary was so excited to uncover each gift. She tore off the paper quickly but carefully. Gretchen is just as excited to play with the My Little Pony train.

Pink tights!

 Happy birthday to Rosemary!
