First, Gretchen and Alina went out for delicious ice cream. Gretchen dressed up for the occasion: pink dress, purple spotted tights, white shoes, pigtails.
She charmed everyone who came in the cafe with her inquisitive sentences and cheerful smiles. Gretchen is the most talkative 2-year-old we've ever met.
Gretchen may be small for her age but she is huge in curiosity and energy.
She loved walking in the rain, in her bright yellow rain coat and her favorite hat!
On to Rosemary. Alina gave Rosemary a choice on what she wanted to do. Rosemary wanted to go to the "spa". Although she's never been to the spa, we have been to the chiropractor and we do play "spa" at home complete with soothing music and drinks of water.
For Rosemary's personal time, Alina and Rosemary found a foot massage parlor. Intrigued by the calm and relaxing interior, Rosemary cautiously climbed in the huge red massage chair. The 2 women working in the parlor treated her like a little princess.
Since Rosemary's had a cold, she looks like she's in a hospital bed here with all the tissue and white blankets! She loved dipping her feet in the warm, scented water, having her feet scrubbed and lathered with lotion.
Nothing better on a cold, damp, and rainy day than relaxing mother-daughter spa time!
Finally, Elliott's personal time arrived. His selection was video game time at the bowling alley/arcade. Alina had a handful of point cards leftover from a work event so perfect opportunity to have some fun on a day when most kids are in school so the place is empty. Elliott played pretty much every available game plus all the rides, too. No pictures of the interior since we left the camera in the car to have our hands free. He happily spent his tickets on two Nerf-like guns.
