Elliott's Favorite Places

Lately, Elliott has fully grasped the concept of leaving our house, getting in the car and going somewhere else. Preferably somewhere more fun than his present location! Here's a list of Elliott's Favorite Places to go. Anytime there is a lull in the action at home he'll run over and say "Daddy, can we go ????" or "Mommy, let's go XXX!"



1) Daycare (where the fun never stops and there's always a playmate!)

2) the Library

3) The Farmstand (a small veggie/flower farm stand located at the end of our subdivision)

4) The Jumpy Place (e.g. an establishment full of blow-up jump castles; each child pays ~$9 per hour, parents jump free...)

5) OfficeMax

6) Garage Saling (gotta start young!)

7) The Park



We have taught him the concept of "closed". On a day he was begging, pleading and cajoling us to go to the library. So, we escorted him to the door and demonstrated it was "closed". The door was locked... we could not enter. Sometimes we have to run down the whole list and tell him ALL of his favorite places are closed at 7pm on a Sunday evening.
