Labor Day Weekend

Each year our town hosts a carnival on Labor Day weekend. It's the most expensive carnival on the planet; with 2 kids on rides you can drop $50 in about 30 minutes. Ahem.

Despite the 100 degree heat, Alina took the older kids up to the carnival to throw money away for a  little fun.  We rode a train, watched a few entertainers on stage, jumped on bounce houses, drank fresh-squeezed lemonade, and rode the Ferris Wheel. The train was probably the biggest hit with our two.

Face-painting and air-brush tattos were also part of the day's excitement.Rosemary chose a pink heart and Elliott chose a white skull. It was so hot, the paint was melting in the heat.

It's interesting to take the older two out with no stroller. Gives a taste of what the future will be like someday when all the kids are bigger.  But, with no stroller, where do you stash all of your ... stuf?? We don't remember how we carried everything with no stroller? Not sure if the brain stretches back that far.
